New Kanye? Meh so far. We’ll see how it is after a few more listens.

One of my favorite local bands is about to put out an EP on June 10th called Friends Divine. And somehow I missed this when it was uploaded a few days ago, but here’s the lead single, “God Neon”. I can’t wait to hear the rest.
They’re currently on tour, so if they play nearby, do yourself a favor and go see them.

Alright. Something is definitely wrong with Last.fm because I know I didn’t listen to Hot Hot Heat.

I jumped on the Macklemore bandwagon. Surprised it took this long, The Heist is amazing. If you haven’t heard it yet, do your self a favor and grab it.

So my scrobbler decided to freak out this week… either that or I secretly played the Gatsby soundtrack over and over in my sleep.
The odds are that the first CD you bought is not indicative of the music that you listen to today. Or maybe it is, who knows. Regardless, we thought it would be fun, amusing, and interesting to do a new PropertyOfZack Friday Discussion on The First CD I Bought. Check out our Discussion below and feel free to reblog with your first CD purchase!
The first CD I ever bought was Green Day - Dookie after hearing “Basket Case” at a friend’s house. I then bought it at least two more times due to my music collection being trashed by my parents (more than once) and my CD case getting stolen (remember when that was a thing!?).

I used Google Play Music’s instant mix feature on Cave in - “Anchor” and was not disappointed. Others’ mileage may vary with the feature but since my music library is almost at the 20,000 song limit, Google usually finds a good selection.
Daft Punk with Julian Casablancas | Instant Crush
This is an early front runner for my favorite song on Random Access Memories.

Didn’t listen to much music this week, I was busy catching up on podcasts. Plus I’m a little overwhelmed by all the new stuff that’s come out in the last few weeks.
